Many women in the Music and Entertainment industry have had many surgical procedures done once becoming well known. Blogs and Gossip sites seem to compare these women or bash their physical appereance. I believe that is why many women seem to gain low self-esteem. Take Heidi Montag from the reality show "The Hills".

This is a before and after picture of Heidi, she just recently this month revealed her new look and as you can see it is a very drastic change. In my opinion, her overbearing and controlling boyfriend (now husband) pushed her to do this to herself. Not verbally but because of the constant cheating with different women. Some women feel as if they should do things to themselves just to keep their men interested. Heidi was so full of life and excitement when she first arrived on the show.


Alyssa Audrey Rose Palmer, also known as Amber Rose, a New York Yonkers native is known as the blondyke girlfriend of rapper Kanye West. Now unlike Heidi, Amber Rose was a well known stripper in Yonkers, some of my family memebers even watched her dance a time or two back before she started modeling. She had been bashed for her relatinship with the Rapper considering many people knew her to have been with a woman previously for 6years. I am not to sure about her having any plasic surgery, but may do speculate her 34-24-38 frame...



Onika Maraj, also known as Nicki Minaj, on the other hand has had may procedures done on her 5'7ft frame... Hailing from Southside Jamaica, Queens, New York. She grew up in a troubled home, with a father on drugs and a struggling single mother.Gossip says Minaj has had a nose job, breast augumentation, hip implants, butt implants or silicone, and God knows what else. Personally if her body is that fake, to me its the best "fake" one out here. Alot of women seem to go to far when it comes to plastic sugery. Heidi is a major example, she looks like a completely different person. In my opinion if these women choose to bring wanted beauty and attention upon themselves, let them. Although, to their young fans, its very unappealing. And shows that even women with money, power, beauty and fame aren't satisfied with their bodies. Instead of promoting self love, celebrities continue to destroy themselves.

Skinny VS. Fitted Jeans

My Generation today has started a controversal trend that will go down in fashion history. "Skinny Jeans"

New Popular Rappers "The New Boyz" have restarted the trend of Skinny & Fitted Jeans.

Earl "Ben J" and Dominic "Legacy" Thomas hail from Hesperia, California. They debuted in the summer of 2009, with the popular song and dance "You're a Jerk". Of most young celebrity entertainers these two broadened the minds of youth to particiate in wearing skinny jeans. Although, many of my friends say they have worn skinny jeans previously before "The New Boyz", making it as big as it is. Most of the time skinny jeans are worn with neons colors and sneakers. I visited my old high school and saw so many young men I knew before that wore baggy jeans down to there ankles that now wear skinny jeans. Its become a growing epidemic. Its amazing how a person can be influneced so easily to wear or do something within a couple months that now has grown men particiating in this trend.



Take for example my friends Jeremy and Juan...


These two have become very known and big on campus for their sense of style. Now they both wear skinny jeans from time to time ... But in this photo they have on fitted jeans. I recently went to a Hip Hop seminar, where people eventually had the oppurtunity to speak, and skinny jeans became a trending topic. Many spoke and said they believed that it was not appropiate for a young man to ever where pants that were that tight. But in my opinion these two give a great example of how well an oufit can be put together. Not only is it appealing and presentable, but it could be worn to a job interview, church, or special event.

But to those who do not know... Rock & Roll started this trend in the 1960s
So to all the parents out there.... Remember Fashion does nothing but a 360. Constantly repeating itself....


So when it comes down to it... Which one do you all prefer ??

Now entering the year 2010.. America has grown to accept outlandish behavior, sex, plastic surgery, and abuse.

Ok ... Now someone might ask, is media all about sex and gossip now ?? If so .. What does that give the youth to look forward to ? Is this what people except as news ? Are the things that Celebrities do nowadays in their lives, music & movies a positive example for their fans ?

In 2008 , she and singer Chris Brown were centered in a Domestic Violence scandal. Mainly Chris Brown was accused of the alledged assault and all was forgiven between the couple. They soon reunited and got back together. Now all and all it is there lives and personal decisions to make. But how would that look to both Rihanna and Chris' young fans ?? Does that promote abusive relationships between teens should be worked out ?
